Business card designs feedback

These business card designs are for a start up graphic design business, looking to promote its individual consultants. There is no picture logo, just type for the business name 'Creative Designs.' It is an all female business whose clients are in the locality.

The main area for critique is layout.

The final photomedia image: "Eating fruits for lifestyle."

Here is the finished photomedia work, titled and created for display in this blog entry, after much soul searching about finishing a diet and moving on to better eating habits.
Your feedback is much appreciated. How do you like this image in the context of other images, particularly advertisements about eating and food shopping?

Getting close to final image

Here are the best of my fruit photographs assembled in the grid formation I am thinking of using. I still have some way to go. How do these photographs and layout work for you, in relation to the subject of diet regimes?

The process of refining ideas into a single image

I have reached the stage of refining my ideas into creating a single photomedia image. Here are some preliminary shots I have taken to set the stage for further development.

I have 13 images of oranges in different states - whole, halved, quartered, segments, orange rind, orange peel, oranges on the tree and so on.

I like the idea of a macro image - fruits in close up - to capture the ripeness and sensation of eating them.

So now I start the process of planning, taking photographs, grouping images and compositing images to create my final piece.

Experimenting with images and software

Now that I am refining my ideas as to what I want to say about food, I also have to decide how I want to present the subject in a photomedia image. I am using Photoshop to manipulate images and also composite images - combining elements of multiple photographs into one image.

I am not a big fan of fantasy in photomedia. I like montage and collage. Juxtaposing images to show the complexity of our existence feels like the right way to go with this project. In so many ways, the consumption of food, which we need to survive, can also make us unhealthy and susceptible to illness. Connecting with the source of food, might make the relationship we have with it easier to understand and manage. Food has become a bit of a natural fetish that we have. So this is where I am at the moment. I would like to restore food to a proper place in my thinking.

Here is a composited image in the vein of collage.

I can eat and cook wholesome food at home, but is this enough of an understanding?
