Looking back while moving forward

Can you see the world turning as it looks back on itself? If you can reflect, rather than dwell, on the past you are a mighty one. But wouldn't it be nice to stop the world turning, to stop the days passing, just briefly enough to take stock of our decisions, omissions, exclusions, errors in judgement and assumptions, and make everything right before too much time makes those mistakes irrevocably detrimental to us all?

In my painting, we are propelled towards the future while consumed by all our bits and pieces. They cannot fall away until they are reconciled with and against what is best.
